The Talkie app does not store any data in the cloud. Texts entered with text-to-speech are not saved and are permanently deleted after the app is closed or the Recycle Bin icon is pressed.
When the user installs the Talkie application on his or her device, a local database is created. The data from the soundboard is stored locally on the smartphone or tablet. The data is therefore not uploaded to the cloud.
Users can download tiles from a library that is stored in the cloud. When tiles are downloaded they are stored in the local database of the app.
To use the speech to text function and to save spoken texts in the soundboard, access is requested from the microphone of the phone. The app also requests access to the photo gallery when the user wants to use an image for the tiles.
Talkie asks for personal data such as name, address, telephone number and email address with every order of a product via the webshop. This information is required to send the product to the customer. The customer of the webshop cannot create an account and log in later, so we do not save any passwords.
We use the data for the following purposes:
The personal data will not be used for purposes other than those indicated above.
The data from the soundboard is stored locally on the device. When the app is deleted, all data will also be deleted. Talkie assumes that the smartphone or tablet is secured in such a way that there is no need to worry about the stored tiles in the soundboard.
When a user visits our website, we store a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
As soon as the user logs in, we will save some cookies in connection with the login information and screen display options. As soon as the account is logged out, the login cookies will be deleted.
We also use Google Tag Manager in which the tags are implemented, such as for web counter Google Analytics, advertising platform Google Ads and Microsoft Bing Ads. These tags keep track of visits and actions that a user takes on the website in order to measure statistics. Naturally, personal information will not be provided to third parties.
The data from the soundboard is stored locally on the device. When the app is deleted, all data will also be deleted.
Talkie stores the data arising from the webshop for as long as necessary to achieve the described purposes. This means that Talkie keeps your personal data at least for the duration that you use our services. However, under tax law, Talkie is required to keep personal data listed in documents belonging to business records (such as invoices and rental agreements) for 7 years.
