I’m super excited to announce that the latest Talkie 4.0 update is now available on the App Store and Google Play Store! I’ve been working on this completely revamped update for almost a year, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
Simplicity is the key! For users with speech issues, this update enables you to make yourself understood in no time. Thanks to AI, you can have realistic male or female voices speak your text. No more sounding like a computer robot!
Shortcuts
Type your text faster with shortcuts for your most commonly used words or phrases.
Emojis
You can also quickly select emojis to emphasize your message, letting others know if you’re happy, angry, or sad.
Create and sort tiles in Folders
The soundboard is now expanded with folders, making it easier to store and organize your tiles. You can drag and drop tiles to the folders and make easily sentences from the bottom popup.
Form and Speak Sentences
Tap on the tiles to form sentences. If you tap on a folder, it opens up in a popup at the bottom of your phone or tablet, allowing you to continue forming your sentence.
Ideal for the deaf and hard of hearing, the Speech-to-Text function converts spoken words into text. It’s an excellent way to follow a conversation.
The app will captioning during conversations and each new sentence appears on a new line. Making the conversation easy to follow
A picture is worth a thousand words, right? With the new image speech function, you can now add photos to your communication—perfect for situations where words fall short, like ordering specific items in a restaurant.
Feature Conceived in Gran Canaria
I was standing in line at the airport and wanted to grab a cup of coffee and a muffin. But the line was so long, and it was so chaotic that I couldn’t point it out. So, I took a photo of the chocolate-chip muffin I wanted!
I’m incredibly proud! What started as an app for myself is now a product that can give a voice back to people with speech issues caused by severe illnesses like cancer, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or spinal cord injuries.
